A little update

Weeee its 1st day of NOV~

Hope everyone had a Happy Creepy Day~

I'm one lucky girl, because nobody come and scare me this year.
The neighbourhood of the Wolfson Flats are so understanding that they send email to us few days before the Halloween to confirm who wants to participate in the trick or treats thingy, and asked those who wants to participate paste a big "YES" paper on the door, so that the childrens will knock on those doors.. So considerate right? Because not everyone celebrate Halloween, especially many Asians.. So I really appreciate the Wolfson Flats president to come out with this approach to ensure they don't creep people that doesn't like to be creep out lol.

And base on this year, I guess the Halloween isn't that bad in UK.. At least not in Cambridge. :) Which is a very good thing! I can't stand creepy people, or people who "Act Creepy". Just don't really like it..

My favourite holiday is as usual, Xmas~
Look at the Leg warmer and the fleece PJ I got from Primark! Its so Christmasy and Warmmmm..

I loveeeeeee Xmas!
We will be spending our Xmas in London (24 Dec), Cambridge (25 Dec - 26 Dec)
Then 27th Dec - 31 Dec, 5D4N to Edinburgh, SCOTLAND! Exciteeeedddd!
Another one of the TO-GO-LIST before my last breath..

Last month (Oct) saved up quite a bit that can cover our Hotel Stay in Edinburgh..
This month going to save up for the Edinburgh Royal Bus tour and Return Train ticket between Cambridge and Edinburgh! Another 300 Pounds!

Then early December we will save up for our spending in Edinburgh, mainly for food, because most places we intend to go are either Free Admission, if not then its already included in the Royal Bus Tour! Excited! :D

Recent dinner I prepare, mince meat omelette and Bak Ku Teh with rice.

It's really satisfying..

Thanks to Internet recipes and my Mum for the very nice and easy Bak Ku Teh!

By saving money doesn't mean we go on hunger strike.. it just means we spend more on our needs instead of wants.

We buy ingredients and do cooking at home! Easily fill our stomach with estimated cost of 3 to 4pounds! ($6 - $8)

Buy 1 parket of pork ribs at 3 pounds ($6), can cook 3 times of soup for 2 of us..

Buy 1 Eggs of 9 at 1 pound ($2), can cook 4 times of egg dishes for 2 of us..

Buy 1 loaf of soft white bread at 1 pound ($2), can eat 1 week for 2 of us..

Buy fresh carrots, tomatos, cabbages, mushrooms, potatos, broccoli, baby corns etc at a few dollar each also can cook several times for 2 of us..

We can play with so many different dishes while interchanging the ingredients we have in our fridge.
Its FUN preparing food together! :)

We don't go to any expensive restaurant anymore, only once in awhile visit chinese restaurant (also not the atas kind) when we're really lazy and yet want to have hot chinese food.. Estimate spend around 10-20 pounds ($20 - $40) on each visit. And this is not atas, its call the high living standards! Imagine we go for more proper restaurant where the locals go.. the price will double up or maybe triple up..

Everytime we eat BK, I am also drinking Huhtamaki's Cups! :)

On any other day, we also eat fast food just like when we were in Singapore..

Estimate spend around 8-13 pounds ($16 - $26). But I try to not let us eat too much also because its unhealthy.. And its important to keep fit and healthy, else how much money we have also useless because we won't be able to use the money and go out enjoy..

We also don't go cinema, freaking 10pounds ($20) per movie.. We rather use the money on nice food or groceries shopping! We catch the recent movie Taken 2, Coma and Tall Man online instead, while cuddling on our small sofa at home. ^.^

There're many things to do here which are free.. nice museums, window shopping (gross there're so many things to see..), nice scenery that are always changing (due to season change), street performance and a lot of nice buildings and places which I've yet to explore in UK..

Rivercam..

Fitz William Museum.. It's very nice in there with a lot of beautiful work and history..
Free admission!

Beautiful Ceiling of Fitz William Museums..

Another entrance view of Fitz William Museums..
Its huge in there...but no photography inside.

The grasshopper clock building

Round Church, the place we got our welcome pack~

There's always surprise on the street..

Everyday is a adventure..

The very nice and satisfying Bak Ku Teh my Mum bought for us to bring over.. First attempt to cook while following the instruction on the packet, super sucess!

Cook for 2 hours, add a little of light soy sauce only because the soup are already very strong and tasty after boiling the herb packet with pork ribs and garlic alone! Awesome tasty soup with super soft fresh meat!

My version of ABC Soup! Carrots, Baby Corns, Potatos, Red Onion and Pork Ribs!
Not bad for 1st attempt, but can improve by adding lesser water to make it more tasty!

Mince meat mushrooms sauce with omelette!
I got this recipe from the internet, super easy to make!

Hubby's Stir fry noodles!
(Cheated a bit by placing the BBQ mid wings bought from saint'sbury on top to make it look nicer haha)

My 5min hearty breakfast - Tomato Egg with French Toast!

The top slice of tomato, don't waste it and use it to do facial scrub!

Idea adopted from Michelle Phan - Tomato Scrub video!
I thought that this idea is pretty awesome to make full use of tomatoes!

Looking forward...........

This Saturday we're going London for day trip again! :D
