I was watching a drama "The Lying Game" few days ago.. and Emma Becker (one of the main lead in the drama) was in a very horrible fostering home in the show, so I was curious if most Fostering are horrible?
I've no clue how Fostering works, and if Singapore even have one (for Human?)? I only know the term "Foster" in animal forums, where people help to temporary take care of abandon animals..
So I went to google and type "Foster Kid", and I chance upon a blog whom the writer name herself "LT", she grew up in the foster care system from the age of 7, and stayed in 13 different homes in 11 years. She was ask to leave out of the system by the age of 18, did not get adopted and yet to find a good home and she is still waiting for a family.. I guess?
As I continue to read about her life.. I am very impressed by how well she write and how truthful and innocent she really is. Her pain...her desire...her fear...and her happiness over things that may seems so small to "normal people" who grew up normally with family, but meant the world to her..
She really inspired me.
There're many post that lead me to tears.. cos I could really feel her words. Mixture of feelings, guilty of what I've been taking granted for all these years, and feeling so lucky of who I am and where I am now..
I've never been this inspired by someone that will lead me to do self- reflection so much..
I start asking myself, how come I will ever google about fostering? It's like the whole "Hamster keeping saga" where it suddenly just came into my life and brings a significant impact to my life..
It feels like a sign... to tell me how lucky I really am and I should show more love to people..animals..or anything for that matter. Because love is simple, and yet not everybody get to experience it. :)
This is LT blog link if you want to know what inspired me so much,

She touched me with words. Her style of writing.. very simple. Nothing fancy, no cam whore pictures, no advertorials on any products or reviewing on any special offer. But with tons of different experience and lesson, beautiful words, beautiful personality and inspirations.
I really hope one day, just one day she will be able to find someone who really care and love her unconditionally.. because truth is, everyone deserved it. :)
